Monday Mani week 19 "Insipred by a fruit"

Hey hey all,
UGH! I really need to catch up on these weekly mani challenges. What a terrible host I am! I have not been keeping up with you guys. Been so busy. I am actually wearing a polish right now that has been on for 6 days (THE HORROR) and is starting to chip! I NEVER do that..... Anyhow, I am glad that a lot of you gals are keeping up and I will be adding to all these challenges shortly. When I have time I will try to do a bunch:) Anyhow, let's get to the yummy fruits:)

First up is Malin Cervin Kristianss with her kiwi mani but she think it looks more like "bird poo" which made me laugh!!! What do you think?

These 2 are from Kathy Smith. The one on top is her fav of the two. I actually like the bottom one a lot. I mean the top one is just as pretty, don't get me wrong but I like the citrus as well:)

Lisa Waldhaus says she was not happy with this one but I think it's a great job. I have tried to do cherries and they're not that easy! But these don't even look bad. I for one like it:)

Jeanie Pou had SUCH a great idea. She used Zoya "Tracie" and "Darcy" for the colors and used fimo slices to make it fruity. I have so many fimo slices, especially fruit and I have used them, what, twice I think?!?!? I may just take this route for my fruit mani.

Anja Andersson is just making my mouth water with yet another great job!!!

I love Emma Lindberg's sparkly strawberries:) Just gorgeous:)

This is Michele Clinton's "loose interpretation" Revlon "Cherries in the snow".

And last but certainly NOT least in Briana Allan who is just so clever. I love how realistic the lil dots look on her strawberries. Wanna know how she did it? They're caviar beads, painted white. Brilliant!!!!

So there's yet another week down. The popular fruit seems to be strawberries. Is it because it seems easy or it's everyone's fav?? Hmmmm.... Thanks to all who contributed yet again:)

Monday Mani week 17 "Tribal" and week 18 "Neutrals"

Ok well, this was a very hard one, I didn't do it because I didn't even know where to begin, and as you can see by the fact that there is only 3 entries, I am sure a lot felt the same way. So CONGRATS to you that weren't too chicken to try it out:)

I absolutely LOVE this! Briana Allan did a wonderful job! And it doesn't look THAT hard (not too say she did something easy, by any means) but I was still too chicken to try. But if I do, this is the pattern I am going to do!

Here is Kathy Smith's first ever tribal mani, and for a first time, I definitely give her an A+ :)

I LOVE this one as well! I have been meaning to try a feather mani forever! and I thin k this fits in perfectly with a tribal theme! Another great job by Deneen Champion Smith:)

And since tribal week was so short, I have combined it with week  18 "neutrals. People were much more willing to try this one out:)

HEre's is Jeanie Pou's pretty neutral mani with Butter London "Aston" and SOPI "copper jewel" top coat.

First off all, I have seen Briana's blog and her pics for a long time now, and yes I am sllow but still.. I just realized her blog name is a combo of her name and her 2 girls (Emmy and Chiara). Isn't that just awesome? ABout as awesome as her choice for her neutral mani!:)

Here is Lisa Waldhaus wearing a very neutral by OPI called "Care to danse" :)

Heidi Winther with a l'oreal (name in her pic) that is now on my wishlist. Such a pretty color! I don't own enough beige/tans

Anja, yet again, (no surprise) did an awesome job with a glitter gradient on top and a lil stud.

Deneen Champion Smith did a gorgeous fade of 2 color club polishes and an OPI shimmer. I love the look of the fade!

Here' Silke wearing Peripera "P012".  NEver heard of this brand.

Kathy Smith's creative mani which is a Color Club with Essie "mink muffs" in the center and Zoya "Richelle" down the sides.

Julie Smith who said she will not be repeating this color. Guess she didn't like it?

There is nothing I love more than a great cream and Michele Clinton is wearing a gorgeous one, which is Cult nails "Crusin' nude" here fav nude polish of all time and I can see why:)

and last but certainly not least is Kellee Foster wearing Hare polish "return to nature" a perfect name for a neutral polish:)

So, there we have it. Another two weeks down. We are now more than half way through..... All info, if anyone wants to join in the fun can be found in the first Monday Mani post:) Thanks to all the wonderful ladies who keep participating:)

Monday MAni challenge, week 16, "purple"

After blue, purple is my fav, go to color. So this week is one of my favs. And with this, we are now all caught up! I thank you all for being patient and understanding with me:)

                                                        Purple

Like me, Briana seems to love purpls cause she did two tries:) The top is "Whoops" from Mckfresh" and the bottom is China Glaze "that's shore bight" with some purple holo foils.

HA!! AWESOME PHOTO BOMB ALERT!!! hehehe!! such a cute dog!!! But the mani focus is Kellee Foster's nails which are Butter London "Marrow" with "Knackered" on the index finger:)

Michele Clinton is wearing Zoya pixie dust "Carter" AKA my number one pixie dust lemming! this is just gorgeous!!!!!!!

ANja Andersson in Color Club "Too violet"

ANd because great minds think alike, Deneen Champion Smith went with the same polish I choose, which is a gorgeous purple from China glaze called "Flying dragon".

Another polish I am dying to try is Picture polish, which Kathy SMith is wearing in "Wysteria" with an accent nail of Jindie nails "Tastes like snozberries"

Jeanie Puo in a brand i am dying to try , KBS shimmer. This color is" Lilac dreams"

Maggie  wearing, "cosmic forces" and femme fatale "edge of cosmo" for accent nail on top and Gloss and sparkle "fruit tingle" and "Lead paint" for the accent:)

KArin Johansson wearing, as she called it a "blurple mani" because she says this is more purple than pic, unlike the picture leads us to believe. And I know how it is to take pics of a polish and the color  just won't  capture!!! This polish is LA color girl "addict junkie"

Michele Clinton with another from Cirque "Fascination street".. WOW! This is beyond gorgeous!

Nubar "nile purple" another from Karin Johansson" which is a really nice jelly and Darling dive "ringer" which she says is a dupe for Max Factor "fantasy fire". Gorgeous!

And...Michele Clinton (I am not the only one who loves purple and this is too gorgeous not to share) wearing a Swedish brand Make-up store "Lea"

HAHA! So, obviously I am not the only one who loves purple. Everyone seems to have more than one in their stash that is their fav:) So there we have it, I am now all caught up and I can finally fell good and take a breath of relief...Now, I must just keep up:) Darn you summer fun! lol..........

Monday Mani Challenge "Duo-chromeMichele Clinton has Cult nails ", week 15

So, alot of us had a hard time knowing what exactly a "duochrome" mani is...but from what I gathered, it is a mani with 2 colors, that shift from one to the other...Black and white is a very popular combo. SO, it is not monochrome" it is duochrome"....ok, it can be confussing, trust me I was as well....So, let's se what people came up with. We all have our own takes, there are not really any rules here. I would never not accpet an entry, unless it was totally off, and even then, if you had an explanation/reason, I would welcome it......

                                        Duochrome
Jeanie Pou went with a nude and gold monochromew using China Glaze "fast track" and SOPI "14k top coat". I love the combo!

Lisa Waldhaus did a great job with her B&W mani. I LOVE those designs on her nails!

I LOOVE this one! Another gorgeous, flawless mani from Anja Anderson!

Kathy Smith did the "acid wash" technique for her mani.

Michele Clinton has Cult nails "Be loco" with "All out" for her accent nail.

Deneen Champion Smith wasn't sure if this could count, but I say YES! This is Emily De Molly "it's complicated" because let's face it, I found narrowing down specific duo chrome mani's was, well, complicated!!!

And this is a gorgeous duo-chrome polish that is a new indie brand "La bella vernice" which will  be on the blog shortly and a brand you do not want to miss!!!!

So, there we have it. A lot of you may look at this and not agree with all these being duo-chrome mani's but as I said, I am not here to judge or be difficult. That is what is great about doing our nails. It's our own expression and us having fun so, we do what we want. I am not going to be fussy, these challenges are all in good fun, after all:)

Monday Mani Challenge, week 13 "Rainbows"

Ah! who doesn't love rainbows! So many possibilities and so many colors!!:) So, here I go, still catching up and I bring you RAINBOW mani's:):)

                                                               Rainbows

So, in a past post I said "does Anja ever fail?"..Well according to her, this is a fail! I still think this looks pretty darn good and is great for this challenge. I actually like it:) But I understand how it is when you have an idea in your head and it just turns out a totally different way.......

Jeanie Pou did this awesomely cute rainbow sneaker mani! I just LOVE this! I actually saw it a while ago and have been meaning to try and do one. Now I want to even more! so awesome!
Jeanie Pou used some rainbow glitter on her tips to get a rainbow theme:)

Michele Clinton, wearing Chilarity "Marauders" asked if a holo can be a rainbow mani and I said YES! Hey, when I describe them in post, I always refer to the "rainbow shift" so I think holo's can fit right on in:)
Kathy Smith used the fan brush method to do her rainbow mani using China Glaze "Heat index"(pink), Sinful colors "neon melon"(yellow) , sinful colors "Snow me white)(white and Julep "Annie" (blue) .

For my mani I did a skittles rainbow ombre and topped it off with my new FAV polish, Lush Lacquer "Clowning around". This polish is so awesome, I am working on a post for it all on its own, but, until then...

And that is that for all the pretty colors of the rainbow:)
